inquest delayed, again, thanks to Wayne Munroe HKS Bahamian Attorney, head of Bahamas Bar Association, trying to write new law.

A bruise over a bony prominence usually shows up quickly. Large ones remain longer than smaller ones. But if Sellick's Manuver is done properly, they dont have to bruise. So it could be from that or HKS stranguled him!

From Wikiepedia:

[edit] Coroner removed from case The Bahama Journal revealed on the 20th that Bahamas Chief Justice Sir Burton Hall had issued a Supreme Court Memorandum, stripping Magistrate Linda Virgill of the exclusive designation of coroner and abolished the special 'Coroner’s Court'. "In the extraordinary cases in which it is necessary to hold an inquest, the facilities now available to accommodate a jury will be accessible to any magistrate" The chief justice did not provide a reason for his decision. :

Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez confirmed that Mrs. Virgill would not preside over an inquest into Daniel Smith’s death on the 20th. According to Gomez, it was not a vote of "no confidence" in Mrs. Virgill’s abilities, she will still be a magistrate, and still be able to hear inquests but "Because of the remarks she made, She won’t be hearing that one" :

The memo provided that the office of the Chief Magistrate will receive all reports of completed investigations by the police into those deaths with which the Coroner’s Act is concerned, and the Chief Magistrate will assign particular matters to any magistrate. Chief Magistrate Gomez said that an inquest might not be needed in the Daniel Smith case. Once the awaited toxicological reports come in, they would be forwarded to the police and the Office of the Attorney General. If the Attorney General feels an inquest is called for, Attorney General Allyson Maynard-Gibson would send the file to his office to assign. [12]

Could it have happened when Stern was forcing a pill down his throat?

Justice delayed is Justice DENIED. Thank you Team Stern, you bunch of scum of the earth creeps.

"What Anna would've wanted" is for the truth to be out about her son's death and for his murderer to be convicted.

I think Munroe knows Stern is likely going to be found responsible if this hearing ever happens and will do everything to keep it from taking place... the Gibsons are controlling the police so no arrests will come that way..

Time to organize a boycott of Bahamas!

Plus he gave Wayne Munroe approval to appeal to the Supreme Court for a ruling on a "non biased" jury - which means more delay.

I am so frustrated - thank goodness I have a sabbatical coming up.

Me too. I can't take much more of this. But am afraid if i step away, i'll never catch up when proceedings finally resume. If that time ever comes in our lifetimes.

I've been doing some looking since I read the post about Gomez hunkering down with Munroe - trying to find previous links - found this on a site -

"PHOTO OF THE WEEK - Wealthy Gomez was the mother of the Archbishop Drexel Gomez, the first Bahamian Anglican archbishop in the history of the Anglican Church in The Bahamas. She died last week and was buried at St. Agnes Anglican Church on Wednesday 6th September. Mrs. Gomez was a personality in her own right. She was a leader of the Elks and a well known contributor to that cause and to the cause of Anglicanism in The Bahamas. What with a son who is the leading Doctor in HIV/AIDS in the Caricom region Dr. Perry Gomez and an Archbishop as another son, another son the Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez, a grandson a Senator Damien Gomez, you can imagine all the mucks who showed up to the funeral service, led by the Governor General Arthur Hanna, the Prime Minister and the Members of his cabinet. Peter Ramsay was there and the marching mourners is our photo of the week."

Damien Gomez is the son of the archbishop - nephew of Mag. Roger Gomez.

I think I read Damien Gomez worked with Wayne Munroe on the case of Samuel "Ninety" Knowles - and they tried to have Allyson Maynard Gibson thrown in jail for contempt of court in that case. Maybe Allyson Maynard Gibson will not look highly upon Munroe for that stunt.

Anyway I don't have much time right now for posting and looking further - but I'm sure some of the great investigators here will take up this issue if it is worthy.

Link to a google cache page with some interesting stuff about munroe on it. -
