Yay! I love it when stuff like that happens.

I have been on a quest for an Easter dress. I have been to the two large department stores at the mall, checked Talbots (ugh), and am getting ready to hit the on-line shop for Nordtrom's and Saks. ( One of my sisters starts working at the local Saks next week so if I find something I might be able to get her to buy it for me with discount.)

It is depressing, as the colors seem to be drab and the cuts are dreadful. I really do NOT want to wear last year's suit, but I will rather than wasting money on something I don't like.

Do you have a Ross's nearby? They are rather like a Marshalls or TJ Maxx.

My sister recommended them to me just last week. I'd been in one once before and thought it was rather junky.

It must depend on when you shop because last week I bought a Jones of New York suit (reg. $285 for $69) and an Anne Klein suit (reg. $325 for 79). These are the nicest suits I've ever owned and with a scarf and pretty blouse make good year-round outfits to wear to church.

In general, the clothes are really ugly. I asked for an A-Line dress in a department store and the salesgirl looked at me like I had asked for a poodle skirt.

I was in Talbot's in Oregon last week and saw a matching hat and bag that was quite cute, but nothing else of interest.. Easter dresses/suits? I haven't begun to think about it but I do have anew dress and a new pantsuit I could wear. Better get cracking on that sigh diet!
