I officially just gave Bill Clinton a pass for his indiscretions. The suffering this poor man had to go through listening to Hillary night after night.

I yield to no one in the belief that Mrs. Bill Clinton would be as disasterous a president as Mr. Bill Clinton was - and probably much worse.
But I have to say that if I were quoting a black preacher in front of a black audience I would be even more self-conscious about using my own accent than I would in using my approximation of that of the author I was quoting.
