Thanks TB for the ping. I've been considering learning Linux to make use of one of these moldy old PC's in this effort. How has the team ranking been? Stable, gaining ground, losing ground, fluctuating...

We have passed around 50,000 teams so far, and are intruding into the domain of the old teams that have been around forever.
#55 this week, #54 next week.
We have learned to live with the ups and downs of Klutz's systems. They are mostly turned off on the weekends, so we see a tremendous pop on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The only teams that are gaining on us are those teams full of Linux systems running SMP on multiple cores. One user is gathering almost 50,000 ppd on 51 systems, thanks to the Linux SMP work units.
We have really done well, considering that the team was mostly dormant until December 2005. Over 400 user names have contributed, and we have about 200 regular contributors.
As always, we are donating time and energy towards making a real difference in medical research.
