Haven't there been a couple other sources who have said similar things?

like

us being 50 years ahead of everyone else etc.?

Certainly the head of Skunk Works should know.

But realizing that takes in SG-1 . . . is kind of mind boggling.

If we have this fabulous technology why are we about to design a new H-bomb ?
There wouldn't be a need for a new bomb.
Assuming we are talking about directed energy, 'death rays', why aren't we using them?
Sure would come in handy in Iraq, Afghanistan.

I don't believe we have any such thing.
