I would like to ask if anyone here would think community service would be enough if this was a male teacher with a female student? No one would be denying it's rape then even though no doubt, many teenage girls want to screw some of their teachers just like boys.

I don't care if they loved it. They are minors, most minors if given a chance would push for an all sugar diet, let their girlfriends move into their bedrooms, and demand a $300 a week allowance. But we don't let minors get what they want because well frankly they are dumb sh**'s. I know because I my self was that age not to long ago. Let's also not forget she is a teacher who abused her position of authority. And it will one day affect their relationships with authority figures negatively.

That is why we have statutory rape laws.

I'm interested in the outcome of the aunt who stripped and whipped her nephew in front of a second-grade class with a female teacher in view. I wonder what the national media would do if all those roles were reversed.

Great post, and I can vouch for your statement above. I went to a private girls' school. In HS we had some young men in their twenties teaching us to support themselves while they were writing their doctoral theses in their fields. We flirted with those poor guys mercilessly, and I've no doubt at all that at least a couple of the wilder girls in my class would have gone for the full monty if we had been successful in breaking them down.(And this was, nominally at least, a private catholic school! Goodness knows what might have happened if we'd been public & run by the NEA! And I was in school mumble-years before you were, you're just a baby!)
