It's a couple years old, now, but The Island managed to get made. Even if it was packaged as an action flick. There wasn't much in the DVD extras that addressed the brazen pro-life plot. The crash-and-bang scenes needed explaining, but the message of the plot didn't. I was stuned.

I saw that and was amazed also even if Ewan McGregor(SP?, I think he was the male lead either him or Jude Law) has been known to a be a little bit of a Bush Basher, interestingly enough.

The Island reminds me of Logan's Run, a very underrated movie that satirizes the Socialist utopia and hippies in one fell swoop with Michael York playing Logan.

I very much liked it, as I love Sci-Fi usually(Sci-Fi and Westerns may be the polar opposites but they are probably the two biggest genres to span Conservatism in Hollywood all encompassing under the Action genre) but Children of Men was like stale bread without the butter.

No real explanation of everything except we are just supposed to go "Mexican director makes provocative Pro-Illegal Immigrant film, whooo!" you might as well have Michael Moore constantly say "Bush sucks" as a reviewer of Fahrenheit 9/11 really noted, and the little monkies would see it was the best speech ever. That is just how well trained and conditioned they all are, those little Liberals.
