Reviewing these clips, I was reminded that was the year of the three black "divas." I can't remember who the second one was, but despite the pleasant comments from the judges in some of these clips, they were not pulling for anyone but Fantasia that year.

LaToya London--she was eliminated a week before or after Jennifer, and Elton John called Idol "racist!" LOL
