I called my sister. Her circulation doctor wouldn't write the prescription because she didn't know much about it and referred her to her GP. I swear, as eager as all of them are for us to get off cigarettes, you would think they would know about stuff like this!

This doctor told her she thought it was best to quit cold turkey!!!

All I can say is that that is NOT going to happen. Good grief!

I encouraged my sister to get to her GP. I hope she does.

I used the patches, and I would have been glad to use the Chantix because of the weird dreams I had on the patch, most of which seemed to be elaborate plots with lots of danger and stress and at the end someone would give me a cigarette. It was like my brain was making up excuses for me to smoke! Very weird.

I had weird dreams using the patch, as well.

I think the nicotine release during sleep hours must have something to do with it.

Chantix is about 3 or 4 times as effective as cold turkey. Her doc should call my doc
