My preacher was saying the other day that women use up to 4 times as many words in a day to communicate. The women laughed when I mentioned it was because we had to remind them 2 or 3 times about everything. The men didn't think that was funny though.
It's because we men have a hard time following all the various scenes in the opera:
"...and then Cindy said to me 'Yeah, love your new office, it was just like mine when I first started out'. That little b---."
"Wait a minute, I thought you said Cindy was your friend."
"She is...well, she was, but...she still is. You have to keep up, you know. I'm always telling you about the people in my office, but you keep forgetting what I tell you about them."
I find that the more my wife repeats something, the less likely I am to remember it (especially in a timely manner). Of course, I also find that she doesn't listen to half of what she says either, thus: If it is a woman's prerogative to change her mind, it is a man's prerogative to ignore everything she says. :)
