What is the relationship of Allyson Maynard Gibson to Shane Gibson? Was there a blood relationship or just speculation? I've forgotten.
I don't know at first glance. On the Islands, there is often just a handful of prominent surnames and some of the people are closely related, some are very distantly related and some, through the generations, have decided not to be related at all - even though, secretly, in reality, they are.
I'll withhold answering until I can take a closer look. FWIW, the Maynard family name is more prominent than the Gibson name.
