E-mail from a friend this morning:

I called my mom to say hello and she was going off
about some lady that died in some hotel room or other.
 It took me a while to realize that she was talking
about a celebrity and not a neighbor or someone I knew
when I grew up.  Just weird!

People in our society get so wrapped up in these
celebrity/politicians lives.  It helps them forget
about dealing with the drudgery of their own
existence.

In journalism class we had long discussions about these "human interest" stories. This one is stranger than fiction.

Anna Nicole was the train wreck how many of us can say we can't be derailed by such as life hands to us..

It keeps most of US off those dreadful Rudy and Mitt threads.
