Anna Nicole Smith has died according to ABC News

Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.

Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.

Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

It would be AFTER the estate taxes are paid. Rest assured, that as the court case on the inheritence from her husband goes forward, the IRS has already filed a lien on the estate.IOW..Assume..using round numbers, that she inherits $800mill...figure $350 mil for taxes...so the estate is $450 mill...now, if the daughter is the sole beneficiary, and inherits, does it get whacked again by the government..no..their are generation skipping provisions in the code..

I figure that whatever $$ ANS end up inheriting..figure that 40% goes for estate taxes, 20% for legal fees, another 10% for future psychiatric bills for the baby..

Years ago James Brown and entourage were staying just down the hall from me at a hotel. One evening there was a HUGE argument coming from the direction of his room. A woman was screaming, "Caught you again, James ...cheating on me with another woman." Something to that effect. It was intense.

But which came first? The addiction or the enabler.

The addiction

I'm not so sure about that. I think both are intertwined. The guy who was ANS's manager during the Playboy and Guess era (who has a book on ANS coming out this week!) said she was perfectly normal, lucid, non-addicted during that time period and then Howard came into her life. Of course, she probably used/abused drugs and alcohol all her life, but the addiction followed Howard entering her life. Use and addiction are two separate things. IMHO HKS was instrumental in the initiation of her addiction, if not very closely linked.
