Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
Virgie Arthur and her ex-boyfriend, photographer Larry Birkhead visited the grave two weeks ago, on what would have been Daniel’s 21st birthday.
"Way over a year ago I read that Anna Nicole's mom "threw" her away when she was very young."

The author of the article needs to be identified...and the facts checked.
Throwing a child away connotes abortion -I thought Virgie was abandoned by her first husband, married again and raised 6 children, was a police officer and the same grandmother who raised Daniel for 8 years. Mmmmmmm that is strange. I would like more confirmation.

Obviously, she was not aborted! Sheesh! How stupid do you think I am? It's just a slang term for a child who the caretaker doesn't want to care for, or can't care for....for one reason or another.
There is a name (escapes me right now) for the "palative" treatment that includes methadone -- it's very controversial, because Methadone is not necessarily a less addictive drug than heroin.... so it's trading one addiction for another.

I'd love to see how doped up his senior patients are. One way of keeping them quiet in these nursing homes.
Didn't they prosecute Rush Limbaugh for doctor shopping for drugs? I'm sure you're right, and she isn't alone... there is a long list in Hollywood who ended up like Anna Nicole -- Judy Garland is another we haven't mentioned. A great voice and career destroyed by prescription drugs. Liza has followed in her mothers footsteps.

I counted something like 30 different schools I attended before I graduated. I don't do drugs and I don't drink or smoke and have been married to the same man for over 30 years.
I am also very opinionated and strong willed, probably part of what saved me along with a few caring teachers along the way. My sisters are not as balanced as I, but they are not addicts, either, though both have some issues.
I'm only saying this to say I don't totally give a bad childhood as an excuse for bad behavior.
I don't know about S. Carolina. In California they are supposed to report it.... and unless she had it at home would be hard to keep it under wraps and not have it reported.

The father left before ANS was two years old... confirmed by him this afternoon on Inside Edition. I don't think Virgie abandoned ANS, I believe what happened was she had the wanderlust and clashed with her mom and left home as soon as she could.. got pregnant at 17 by a 16 year old boy and the rest, as they say, is history.
