Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
appears so to me... read through the thread and she believed everything good about him and most everyone else was trying to say this guy is a danger to her and the baby.
What would the laws be in the Bahamas?
Thanks....I'm not able to get a better resolution. I'll try to find someone who actually knows what they're doing. lol
I've thought that of HKS for a long time now. It was fairly obvious.
Some FReepers are simply brilliant.

Roger that. An Rx IS required in the Bahamas.... still, if one has connections in the right places, these things are not difficult at all. Finding a liberal MD to write the scripts is no problem at all, and getting it on the black market isn't too hard either.
Funny you ask.....So I once called several pharmacy's in the bahamas(about a year ago) because they were looking for pharmacists in a few places there.
Methadone is a BIG black market drug. I had several patients that OD'd on meds that came from the pharmacy's I worked in.... sold from someone on Medi'Cal who got them for free and then turned around and sold them on the street.....one was the brother of one of my pharmacy technicians at the time......Big quantities are given(like 300 tabs at a time) all paid for by your state's welfare systems. I would often get questioned by local police regarding certain OD cases.... asking for info. I got sick of watching it and now I fill legitimate prescriptions for our fighting men and women!
Oh.... so to answer the other question. YES. The licensure boards don't play around. The doctor and pharmacist will be investigated, and there will likely be some sort of action taken.... especially given the high profile of this case. In reality, however, the action will probably not put said physician/pharmacist out of business unless there is a history, or evidence of gross misconduct/bad judgement.... probably a nice strong slap on the wrist and docs on file with the licensure board.
BTW, did you see this info on MSN?
snip:
Smith's ownership of the mansion was the basis of her claim to residency in the Bahamas. In a lawsuit, Smith asked a court to recognize her as the owner and reject Thompson's claim on the house in the exclusive neighborhood.
The island chain's Supreme Court has scheduled a Feb. 26 hearing on the matter, Munroe said.
Munroe said Smith's will would be admitted to probate under which the will is officially proved as authentic or valid in the Bahamas and that the process can take from one year to 18 months.
So he is planning to probate her will in the Bahamas, instead of the USA, and trying to stay in the house that Anna didn't own and they were trying to evict her out of. Guess he can afford to buy it with the millions he is getting from ET.
It just all seems a little bit too convenient. Especially the "friendships" with Bahamian officials.
There has to be a paper trail going back a long, long way over an extended period of time.
This Stern character is either a diabolically clever planner, or he just found himself an accidental lottery ticket.
Curiouser and curiouser.
wow....heads are gonna roll...
I think going offshore was part of his plan. He's a lawyer, he knows he couldn't grease as many palms in the US as in the Caribbean.
Methadone is BAD..... the insurance companies are digging it because it's DIRT CHEAP and it has been RAPIDLY becoming a very popular chronic pain med. Unfortunately people are people and they're gonna ignore the drinking warnings or dosing directions..... or both.... thinking it's like tossig back a few vicodin with drinks for the buzz......many OD's on this stuff is ACCIDENTAL..... kids just 'having a good time'.

Anna probably thought HKS was so clever with all of the tricks they used to pull. The two of them remind me of two Grifters. Now he's using all those tricks to hideaway and possibly get a hold of the money over two dead bodies.
pain meds always made me itch and they also made me where i could not sit still....i hate them...i do take xanax for anxiety which is i suffer from really bad....i always feel as though i am really dying during an attack..
Is there a new show on tv tonight about ANS?
That size is usually found in Methadone clinics and hospitals.
My guess --- because the medical examiner found no indication of foul play.
geraldo at large is coming on at 7 central and is devoted to ANS....hope that helps...
That's correct.
