Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

I think I've heard of HKS using drugs too. Perhaps it was from the friend of Anna's who claimed to be the godmother of Daniel. Can't remember her name at the moment though.
Also, there's Stern's sister's words.... She said during the first 12-24 hours after ANS's death, Stern was alternating between having chills and then sweating.
The sister told an interviewer this in response to a question of 'how's your brother doing', just a few days after Anna's death. At the time, I thought her description of Stern sounded like someone coming off of drugs as in having withdrawals.
Virgie had every reason to be concerned about her daughter and now even more reason to be fearful for her grandbaby.

No, no, no...I see Anna as the progeny of Jayne Mansfield and Elvis. Anna could be Mariska Hargitay's sister. MH just had a baby girl last year. Mariska and hubby could, as next of kin, take custody of DL and raise her. Then the two granddaughters of Jayne/Elvis (Jelvis) could marry the newborn twin sons of Grey's Anatomy's Dr. McDreamy...thus starting a new, perfect looking human being. Plastic surgery would become passe.
