Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
If Virgie is allowed a copy of the autopsy report and a copy of the final death certificate that gives cause of death. Then yes she can tell the world what killed her daughter. The whole point is Perper cannot sit on TV and do it unless Stern and/or the family have signed a release to allow him to do so. If Perper does without a release I would thing he could be sued by Stern (executor) or Anna's mother.)

I'm still wondering about the large quantity of the non-prescription drugs in Daniel--if he took them before his plane trip or after.
Someone in the medical field would know if those high levels would still be there from say 6-12 hours before or if it could have been as long as 24-36 hours or even longer.

However, after reading all the info from the Bahama paper that Tex Kat has posted today - I don't have any confidence that the Bahamian police can produce an inquest with any sort of integrity. I hope I'm wrong.

Ok - good to know (not really). Maybe people will "sell" the approval to report her cause of death....it would be worth millions if not reported otherwise....
Excellent, well thought out post re: ANS's state of mind regarding her relationship with her mom. ANS was incredibly insecure and controlling...a volatile combination. I think you are very correct, the insecure ANS would have never stood for Virgie to be loved as a mother by Daniel. Never. Didn't the nanny (in the Dec. affidavit) state that 'ANS would kill her' if DL ever call her (the nanny) mama? Misplaced anger at Virgie...and the Post should be ashamed to have printed 'cheap black dress' and 'she waddled.' No one edits anything anymore?
I don't think he took the methadone on his own accord. I think he consumed it accidently or his drink was spiked.

Sounds like there was way too much partying going on, unfortunately. In my college days, it was not unusual for some people to consume large quantities of drugs at parties.
So, either Daniel took the drugs before the plane trip, or they had some partying going on in the hospital room-- again, unfortunately.
Of course, the other options are someone spiked his drink,
...or Daniel grabbed by mistake someone else's drug-laced drink.

STERN: I was there, yes, I was there. Anna woke me up. This was the next morning now. Stuff happened through the night where, you know, at first I was going to sleep on the floor in between the two beds.
There were two hospital beds and Anna was in the bed closest to the window and Daniel was in the bed closest to the door. And, Daniel at some point said to me that, you know, he wasn't really that tired, so why didn't I just take the bed and he was going to sit up and watch TV.
And, remember that Anna had had a C-section two days before, so she needed help and still needs help to get to the bathroom and things like that and Daniel, you know, helped her out to the bathroom and this happened many times throughout the night.
And then, at one point Daniel said to me how come I'm so tired? And, in hindsight I wish that I had seen that as some sort of a signal and seen that something wasn't right.
KING: So, what happened? Did he just like close -- did he close his eyes or what?
STERN: Well, I mean the next thing that I remember that happened from my perspective is that in the morning Anna said, "Howard, Howard, Daniel's not breathing." So I, you know, went over there really quickly. And, at this point Daniel had moved into bed with his mom, so they were actually staying in the same bed.
Lots of conflicting information in the interview. Daniel isn't tired, then says how come he's so tired. Most reports I've read have Daniel being found in a chair.
Your article says ANS was sedated and whisked out of the hospital right after the death. No doubt it was to shut her up around potential witnesses. And this sedated person sold pictures of her children within 24 hours?

Well, it's certainly possible. Guess the autopsy on Daniel would have revealed if there was any grapefruit in his system??
Wonder if there is a list of substances that were found?
Would be better to think of this as the cause of death rather than an overdose of party drugs, for sure.
The only thing is that everyone says that Daniel didn't do drugs and he was a straight A student. I think he may have been on antidepressants due to a break up with a girl I believe, but supposedly he was not a user of drugs.
Grapefruit could explain the inflated levels of the drug.
And guess what? Trimspa has the chemical grapefuit compund in its ingredients.
