Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."
It seems like it's taking quite a while to come up with ANS tox screen.
Of course there will be some vague reason to explain her death.
Howard too? snicker...
I read (somewhere) that she also had the initials of Sandi Powledge below her bikini line.

"All right, Dr. Wecht, you performed the autopsy on Daniel. Daniel died of what?
DR. CYRIL WECHT, FORENSIC PATHOLOGIST: Combined drug toxicity, Larry, methadone and two anti-depressants.
KING: What will happen tomorrow -- without being too medical -- with the body of Anna Nicole Smith? What will happen tomorrow morning?
WECHT: A complete postmortem examination, the collection of body fluids and tissues for toxicological analyses, pieces of organs will be taken to be submitted for preparation of microscopic slides. They'll be examined then next week. Toxicological analyses will be reported, some perhaps as early as the beginning of next week. Others will take longer. The pathologist may find something dramatic tomorrow, such as a pulmonary embolism, a blood clot to the lungs. She did have a C-section some months ago. Some of these blood clots emanate in the pelvic region, especially if the uterus is enlarged. She could have had a fulminant pneumonia... she could have had a viral... KING: When do we hear the full story?
WECHT: The full story I predict you will not know until -- one to two weeks. Probably if it goes into toxicological analyses, I predict you won't be told the final story until at the earliest, the end of next week.
KING: If they get a court order to get DNA, will that be simple, taking some hair?
WECHT: That's very simple. That's nothing. That's just -- well, no, you wouldn't bother with hair then. That's for mitochondrial DNA. You want tissue, bone marrow, whatever. So that's a simple thing. Yes, no problem at all.
KING: So Dr. Gupta, Sanjay Gupta, you wouldn't expect much of a story tomorrow, would you?
DR. SANJAY GUPTA, CNN MEDICAL CORRESPONDENT: No, unless there was something just extremely out of the ordinary, unless she had some significant problem with the heart that was a genetic problem maybe and for the first time it declared itself today. That's why she died. Or, as Dr. Wecht mentioned, these blood clots can be very serious, Larry. I know you've talked about these before. If they find the blood clot in her lungs tomorrow, they might talk about that. But I think it might be at least a little bit of time before we hear anything more definitive. And keep in mind we might not hear anything definitive. The final answer may be, "We're not absolutely sure."
KING: With her life the way it was, most assume some kind of drug problem. Would that be found quickly if that were the cause?
GUPTA: Well it depends in part on what it was. Typically that happens in this sort of situation, as Dr. Wecht mentioned, you take all the blood samples that give you an indication of what substances were in her body and her blood at the time of her death. And some of these things are pretty easily screened for you. You get results back fairly quickly. Some will take a little bit longer. Sometimes they want to double check things, you know, to have a couple of results that confirm the first findings. But, yes, within a few days you get that back as well, Larry.
KING: Dr. Wecht, when you did the autopsy of Daniel, did you meet with Anna Nicole?
WECHT: Very fleetingly. She had just come back from the hospital, the C-section, and she was quite distraught, obviously, the death of her son. I was at the house. I spent some time there meeting with Howard Stern and the attorneys and just a very casual passing with her.
And subsequently, Larry, in the past few months, I've had frequent contacts by phone, e-mail and letter with Mr. Stern and with the attorneys. I anticipated and still do expect possibly to be testifying in the inquest. I think, by the way, that they'll probably still proceed with that inquest, despite by Anna Nicole's death. KING: Into Daniel's death, you mean?
WECHT: I beg your pardon, into Daniel's death. Anna Nicole's death will not be a factor for them to consider.

The birth of a daughter - whose paternity and custody is in question - who may also have been born addicted to illegally obtained prescription drugs.
The premature, undetermined death of the infant's mother -could be homicide, suicide or misadventure.
Conspiracy to access a $1.6billion estate and eliminate per stirpes heirs.
Conspiracy by lawyers and foreign government officials to circumvent immigration laws for fraudulent purposes.
Intent to defraud owners of real property and real estate.
Illegal transportation of prescription drugs, by interstate and international waters.
Potential kidnapping of a US citizen.
Creation and presentation of fraudulent documents to avoid parental and custodial rights.
Possible religious bias against a Southern Baptist/Christian upbringing for a child who had a GODMOTHER appointed by her mother, who had a "Baptist" minister perform a "committment ceremony". Will the self-appointed father honor this religious affiliation or circumvent it?
WE SHOULD ALL BE TERRIFIED THAT THESE SAME LAWYERS, GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND JUDGES COULD PUT ALL OF US IN JEOPARDY.
A REVIEW OF ALL THE "LEGAL" RULINGS TO DATE SHOULD REMIND US TO NEVER LEAVE OUR AFFAIRS IN THE HANDS OF LAWYERS OR JUDGES.

IMO, If this is true, and she still has pneumonia, HKS was very negligent taking her by plane to Florida. Anything could have happened, including an embolism.

I had a little "aha" moment the past few days, too. Knowing how strung out ANS often was, and the sleeping arrangements that Larry B described at the hearing, and then HKS's announcement of a long-time "secret" romance going with ANS, kept secret because he was her attorney - *what if* HKS *told* her he slept with her one night (or more) when she was passed out or something, after he found out she was pregnant?
Suppose he tricked her into believing he made a baby with her and all the hullabaloo that followed, with her agreeing and naming him the father and all that, was based on her "belief" that it happened?
Birkhead was kicked to the curb long before Daniels death.

No, I don't think she *knowingly* would have or even did - I think he tricked her into believing it could have happened just about any night - he was right there in the house.
I certainly know that. I wasn't implying anything that has to do with Daniel's death. Where did I say that? I believe Birkhead's last contact with her was last spring....long before Daniel's death.
When are 'we' going to move on to the next slutty bimbo, wrecking her life in debauchery?
Anyways, Wecht has said that the cocktail of drugs, together--not individually, found in Daniel Smith's system could have been the cause of death, or could have triggered a genetic heart anonomoly (that he could have inherited from ANS). I remember hearing him (maybe on local coverage here--he is on almost daily for something) that because both ANS and Daniel were young and healthy no cardiac work up would have been done (EKG) to see if there was a genetic heart defect...and that there would be no way to definitively say if the heart 'defect' was the ultimate cause of death (or words to that effect).
And, lastly, and this is just my hunch (as Wecht was on TV again today for an possible suicide/murder here in PA). I doubt that he would fall on a sword for the $80,000 (I think that what I saw the his professional fee was worth) HK$ paid him (or still owes him) and falsify Daniel's autopsy. Again, I think he does an awful lot of third party (insurance) claims and his credibility would be of too great a value for him to protect one client.
dang.....besides Dannilynn, I feel most sorry for Daniel. Where was he while Anna and her lesbo lover were doing the foot rubs and whatever....?? After ANS snagged Marshall, Daniel was with her, right? Not with Vergie. Too bad.
After reading that she was doing her druggie act even way back then, I'm suprised she lasted as long as she did.
And...IIRC....Big Moe, on LKL last night, said Anna had a seizure disorder which caused her near drowning incident.
