Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

Just checking in - very disappointing turn of events. Have not read everything since 2/21. It appears from recent posts, this thread has taken on a new character.
I expect the veterans are all stunned that Seidlen had obviously made his decision at the get-go. He did say he was not going to decide where ANS should be buried - BUT HE HAS!!!
I wonder if ANS had a religious affiliation - and if HKS renounced his to take part in that Baptist ruse. Dannielyn has a GODMOTHER - was she baptized? How will that figure out in her life?

Mods will be asking soon for a new thread - normally 10,000 is the limit most of the time and I am surprised they have not requested a new thread to be started by now.
If "I" start a new one it will be in the Smoky Backroom - if someone else want to start one then that is ok with me and of course they can put it in General/Chat or the Smoky Backroom, their choice or the mods choice.

I pray this does not happen. But if it does, I say yes. As long as he is not abusive, that is too long with a parent. Biology does not matter as much to the child as the people she needs and loves as parents. Children are resilient and that is good for when they HAVE to be (a parent dying, for instance), but that does not mean that decisions made for children need not be in the absolute best interest of the CHILD. A child should never be taken from his parent(s) who has been raising him unless there is great negligence or abuse. Who cares who ACTUALLY donated the sperm, after a couple of years of loving parenting?
However, in this case, you have an apparent bio-father fighting to see his child from pregnancy on, and another man apparently using international trickery to keep said child away from him. Yes, the child's mother was complicit, but was she in sound mind? I think that is the legal argument right there. I believe that even 6 months with one parent will be hard for the baby to get over, but at least she is so young that it will be in her best interest to not be with a person who connived custody and possibly contributed to the death of her closest relatives.
Your second paragraph makes it abundantly clear that the first paragraph is unacceptable.

I find it amazing that she was not insured. But who would insure her with her drug history, hospitalizations etc? That might be the issue.

We can just keep going on this thread until the admin moderator says it is time to start a new thread. (I am really surprised they haven't asked for a new thread to be started by now)
I know this case will be a discussion topic on FR for a long time coming until at least the paternity of the baby is settled. The paternity issue is what has most of us interested in this case.
Then I elect you to start the new thread ;-)
