Anna Nicole Smith has died according to ABC News

Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.

Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.

Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

This woman was tortured by demons most of us will thankfully never have to endure. The sick cult of Celebrity has claimed another victim. Of course she craved the limelight - they all do. And for all the applause and attention, and wealth and fame: it is never enough. As always, the vultures will circle and pick clean the bones that remain after then spirit has long since fled, but... somewhere out this evening there is a little girl who will never really have known her mother. RIP, Anna Nicole.

I only saw one episode of her so-called "reality show" and promptly emailed the producers that they should be ashamed. This woman needed an intervention, not exploitation. I told them then that they were promoting the destruction of a human being. How many here watched that show and gave them the ratings? Do you feel any guilt about exploiting this poor soul? How many here condemning those that decry her lifestyle were eager viewers of that show without voicing a protest in her behalf? How many here buy those trash magazines that are supporting the paparazzi that kill those such as Lady Di? It's a two way street. She may have craved the limelight, but who was patting her on the back for doing it? Was it any of you FReepers? If so, shame on you.

You're wrong. She said she hasn't interviewed Stern, but she has Birkhead and really likes him, says he's checked out as being on the up and up.. agreed with Geraldo that Stern is a sleeze of the worst kind and very suspect.
