I know what you are saying, but in the evening it has become 'normal' to sit around and watch an hour of TV. I don't always have a good book around and I have to share the computer with my DH.

I have grown to hate scripted shows because they are always the same thing, doctors, lawyers, whatever fight in the operating room, courtroom, whatever and then have sex with each other.

I enjoy the scenery of TAR, I admit to liking Top Chef. I sew, so I enjoyed Project Runway. I have never watched the dating shows, can't stand the chicks.

After Monday there will be no '24' to make Monday more fun. Oh well.

Frankly, I watch it for the background scenery, too. That is also why I watch the Olympics. Plus the Tour de France shows the roads and regular people standing along side. I may have a book and I don’t have to share my computer but still I like to watch a tv show. I’m down to TBS reruns of sitcoms, Sex and the City, and movies.

I want to learn to sew well. So there is that.

What kind of books do you like? I recently found this cute series by Joanne Fluke. They are not exactly hair-raising, sort of like Murder She Wrote. In fact the website of the author is http://www.murdershebaked.com/ . Each book contains several recipes for food mentioned in the story. The first one I read was the Lemon Meringue Pie Murder. I plan to finish the series.
