That wrecked ship is awesome. Old shipwrecks are so entrancing. Especially these huge ones. I just can’t take my eyes off them. I’ve only seen them in pictures and on tv.

Okay now that it is over I CAN say a couple of things.

My cheat site was 100% correct on the finish order, who was eliminated and the destinations that they traveled too.

On episode number one, the 11 teams were introduced on 6 boats. The first 5 boats had 2 teams each, the 6th boat had Eric and Danielle on it. They were shown last, but finished first.

Every one should go read post #39 by Tazlo which talked about every team in this version except one. The one team they did not mention was Eric & Danielle the team that won. Here is their post.

Can't stand the Coalminers, the Cousins, the Parents, or the Guidos. Joyce and Uchenna are OK, but they already won. I enjoyed Kevin/Drew, John Vito/Jill, and Danny/Oswaldo. They always had good attitudes. Both Rob and Amber and Beauty Queens were robbed and I'd like to see them go to the end.

Pirate Master starts on Thursday, May 31st. It is another reality show from Mark Burnett, creator of Survivor. If you want to be on the ping list, contact cuz_it_aint_their_money who runs the survivor ping list and is also starting the new pirate ping list.

Look for Josh to appear again soon either tomorrow or next Monday. I believe Jack's Father also returns before it's over, but I am not 100% sure on this fact.

Yeah, The Apprentice did end too early. Must be Trump was losing $$$ or something. Maybe it was that he was obligated to pick a female this time. The finale was very anti-climatic. On a high note, we don’t have to see his pink tie anymore.

Too bad the BQs didn’t win but I’m glad it wasn’t Shmirna. I was so afraid the cousins would win because of all the showcasing from the editing room. Gee, how will we live without, “Run, Charla, run!”

ERIC & DANIELLE
WIN WHEN IT COUNTS

Having never won a leg the entire Race, surviving two Yields, being "marked for elimination", and even being removed from a plane, the comeback kids Eric & Danielle finished in grand fashion by winning THE AMAZING RACE: ALL-STARS. Beauty queens Dustin & Kandice settled for second place while cousins Charla & Mirna took third.

As the eliminated Teams looked on and cheered with excitement, dating couple Eric & Danielle ran through the grounds of the Botanical Gardens and crossed the finish line to win the million dollar prize awarded by Phil. A thrilled Eric said, "I'm so happy to be here with Danielle. From when I went through last time, coming in second, so close, to be in first is just unbelievable." Danielle joked, "I got into the best shape being on this Race with Eric. He kicked my butt. The Race kicked my butt, but I'm so happy to be here."

After arriving at the finish line in second place, the highest ever finish for an all-female Team, beauty queens Dustin & Kandice graciously accepted defeat. Dustin remarked, "I'm just so proud to say the places I've been, the pictures I have in my mind. That is worth so much to me. I'll take that with me wherever I go." Kandice added, "My grandmother always told me reach for the moon and at the very least you're gonna hit the stars. I'm very thankful for the experience and for Dustin, and THE AMAZING RACE."

The tenacious, fiery cousins Charla & Mirna settled for third place and reflected fondly on their experience. Charla said, "Mirna knew our abilities and I'm proud for everything we did together on this Race and we played it with every ounce of energy we had." Mirna added, "Charla has overcome so many obstacles on this Race. We persevered to the very last leg. It was really wonderful to break all stereotypes, not just about physical abilities, but also what people thought of us. I really felt like so many people got to know the real Charla & Mirna."

The winners also took a moment to reflect on their life changing victory. Eric said, "I'm really proud of Danielle. She did a great, great job. She knew the role she had to play for this Race. She couldn't have done anything better than she did." Danielle added, "I won AMAZING RACE ALL-STARS. I definitely know I can do anything I want to do and that's what this Race taught me."

Thanks for the thread jonny. Sorry I couldn’t hang out much, but I did enjoy reading the recaps. Another fine job, you’re becoming an expert. :) I’m so glad that Chirna and Marla didn’t win. Is that mean? They just annoyed me.

Yes, I should have said about E&D — “I don’t remember Eric and Danielle very well.”

If the BQs didn’t win, I’d rather see E&D win rather than the Cousins. With any luck, the Cousins’ 15 minutes is OVER and we’ll never see them again on any reality show. Karma needed to get them a vacation in Poland since the Poles were the one culture smart enough to ignore them.

This AllStar race was my least favorite seaond of TAR since the family version.

Hey, has anyone heard whether Treasure Hunters will be back this summer on NBC? That one definitely grew on me and I really liked it by the end. If anyone starts a ping list for that one, please put me on it.

Apprentice has sucked since the second show. I did enjoy the first season.

AR may be heading over the shark too. Without spectacular destinations and fabulous photography, both lacking in All Stars, it’s just a bunch of sweaty jerks riding around in cabs.

I am glad to hear somebody else mention The Apprentice. I skipped one season but watched the rest. Frankly, it fell a bit when the first lady won and she had two “smaller” job offers. She chose refurbishing a luxury home in Florida (I think). Then dumping Carolyn jumped the shark and then gradually George left. I must say that Trump’s children are more professional and intelligent than I expected but there is still a creepy factor there, knowing they are his children. The moment I heard they were going to L.A. I hated the idea. The fast paced environs and views of N.Y.C. were reasons I liked watching them. I also enjoyed watching how these smart people conduct themselves in their projects. The tent idea was a disaster!!! I wonder if they will have a next season. I’ll watch it, just to watch it but what a shame to ruin a potentially good show. I still can’t believe how they stopped this last one practically in the middle.

From Wikipedia: Some remoras associate primarily with specific host species. Remoras are commonly found attached to sharks, manta rays, whales and turtles, (hence the common names sharksucker, whalesucker).

Sharksucker is a charming name I'll have a lot of fun applying to various politicians.
