I echo what Norm wrote to you Steve. Sorry I'm late, but someone cut the RR cable by accident and I've been offline.

Nothing was more fun than doing qualifying and play by play with you on the threads. Mr Statistic will always be your name.

Maybe if Lil Brian goes to Disney World for his next gig then you can come back. Wishful thinking. :)

Waltrip Thinks Earnhardt Jr. Should Be Penalized, Then Talks More Sh.... Literally

Michael Waltrip had some choice words about Dale Earnhardt, Jr. on Monday's edition of Inside Nextel Cup. Waltrip stated he believed Jr. should be penalized for the bump drafting that occurred during the Bud Shootout that subsequently led to the last lap accident that swept up Elliot Sadler, Kasey Kahne, Denny Hamlin and Junior. He continued into a long rant which included a sarcastic jab about the "greatest driver ever" making a mistake. It seemed to catch the other panelists off guard. This included Mark Martin who, when asked why he didn't think Junior was penalized stated "Because the race was over."

It was an interesting perspective from Waltrip, who himself has been under strict scrunity by NASCAR this week. After inspectors found an oily substance in the intake manifold of his NAPA Toyota, they confiscated the manifold and let Waltrip qualify. After being unable to figure out initially what the substance was, NASCAR confiscated Waltrip's car. Waltrip continued on Monday with the "it was just oil" spin, but NASCAR confirmed Tuesday that while they still hadn't figured out what the substance was, it wasn't oil. It is scheduled to go through a strict inspection on Wednesday for any other areas of his car that may not be legal.

In addition to the comments about Junior and the lies about the substance in the manifold being oil, Waltrip also found a way to work into the show the fact that he was having "tummy issues" during the Bud Shootout. He then stated he was "loose" during the ten minute break and the caution was much needed for his bowels.
WHY?!!

CALL TO MICHAEL WALTRIP:
Michael, be a professional. Until you drive the Imodium AD Toyota, please avoid talking about your diarrhea on television. I really don't want to hear about your "tummy issues."

And regarding the cheating...be a man. Quit lying. You cheated. You got caught. Say you're sorry and move on.
