I was afraid that we were going to have to get a new computer and deal with Vista. I am not interested until they get the bugs worked out, which will be about 2 years from now, given how Microsoft works.

I give you a great deal of credit for at least trying it. I wouldn't have messed with it at all.

I was in tears of frustration this afternoon, mostly because I was up until 4:00 a.m. this morning working on it. It's horrible, at least in its present form. I don't know why Gates pushed this thing and neither do the technicians.

One word of advice for when you do need a new computer and what we intend to do next time: We'll pay someone to download our settings and set up the computer the way we like.

Do you know how often we on FR use/hit the "Refresh" button? Well, on Vista, according to two technicians I talked with, there is no "Refresh" icon so I can either squint and search this crummy looking toolbar and hit this tiny weeny little button that means but doesn't say refresh, or I can hit F5. The options for the toolbar are the most limited I've ever seen.

Ack. What a waste of two days. I'm going to settle in and read a good book tonight and forget about the last two days.
