You assume that because people cared for this horse that they do NOT care about other of the world's problems? Many of them don't. I would venture to guess there are people who spent an hour buying a poster and decorating it and going to the post office to mail it who don't give a second thought to the rest of the world other than to listen to the occasional NPR news report on Iraq. You dare to suggest how other people should spend their money? Yes I do. Call me insensitive, but I think the world would be a better place if millions spent on a racehorse doomed to die were instead spent on, oh, maybe human beings. Call me a sicko, but I have this ridiculous idea that human lives are more valuable than horses' lives. Then again, seeing how Terry Schiavo was mindlessly slaughtered with the blessing of many on this site, I'm probably in the minority here. May I remind you that this is America. We can and do more for those unfortunate people around the world than any other country on earth. And let me remind you, that it's the American people who make sure there is money for the least of us in this world. No, the government gives money to other countries. When they take my tax dollars and give them to Nigeria, that's called forced charity, and I'm against it
