This is to advise that it is very cold down here tonight, getting into the high 30s with winds blowing like mad. I guess I will just play light I am a 'Yankee' for the night and suck it up and live with it.

Interesting story about your school system. When I first read it, I didn't notice who wrote that post.
You are still better off than the school in our County Seat.
The Superintendent has been BANNED for LIFE for the New Casino in the County. He was exposing himself to his girlfriend on the casino floor.
Both he and the gf (his wife is still with him, don't ask me why) were asked to leave the Casino immediately and never come back. Charges were not filed. Since no charges were filed the School Board will not ask for his resignation.
The whole town is in an uproar.
Unfortunately, the town has been in an uproar for years over a school bond issue, so the town is already divided. This latest 'incident' is only adding fuel to the fire.

a diet that those of you who think I am weird for being a vegetarian would think I am MEGA weird for this one.
It is essentially LOW acid, low sugar, NO meat, no dairy & lots of other "weird things added"
If I didn't see the results with cancer patients I would not believe it myself.
My friend Janet in 1990 was given 2 months to live.. stage four cancer in lungs, brain, liver, pancreas.
She went on the "healing phase" of macrobiotic. Her docs were angry & skeptical. When she had the next check up 2 months after she was supposed to be dead, she had NO signs of the disease.
The docs are now believers & have her as part of the hospital staff for their oncology patients.
It helps AIDS, MS etc.
Removes the environment nutritionally that feeds cancer & also removed the strain on immune system so it can do it's job. It is the immune system that will heal.
Most people however will not buy into it & rather will increase their meat & foods that help kill them faster.
We have about 25 in our current group that have gone on the diet & been "healed". After about a year of cancer free you go from the healing phase to the "maintenance" Phase. I have adopted a large part of it but my hang up is cheese.. I am a real cheese addict

Oh my Jemian, these are beautiful birds. Will they be able to fly around & be pets or do you keep them in cages. If they are as big as you say I think my cats & dogs would be afraid.
Their head reminds me of a peacock tail..
They look like they have a headress on from a Las Vegas Show review dont they?

Does anyone have any suggestions for names? BTW, this is a Victoria Crowned Pigeon. They are about the size of a medium turkey. May I suggest Gravy and Biscuits...
I bet they roast up real good...

They can fly but they don't usually fly. They eat rice, bread, fruit, nuts, and bugs. And a DOG (one specific, pestiferous DOG).
They are gorgeous. I've seen two here and when my yard man told me his brother had one, I couldn't resist.
I'm getting one. When I get it, I'll try to put a picture up for you.
I'm leaning toward the name "Never More".
