Deer are unafraid of Labs. Mailmen are unafraid of Labs. There isn't a creature made by God that is afraid of Labs.

We are on our second yellow lab male. I agree that exercise is extremely important. Indulge his natural urge to retrieve (and retrieve and retrieve) with a lot of running. A lot. Otherwise he will take his physical frustration out on everything he can get to.

Good luck--you have two to three years til he'll be "more mature."

They are GREAT dogs!

No sense waiting until the pup matures ... I will be more than happy to assist you with your deer problem! Will bring my own ammo. Send directions.

My Lab does chase the deer off. Raccoons, too. She loves bunnies and squirrels, though, dang it.

Good luck on the deer. I've two rather large dogs. Good barkers too. I see deer all the time within 100 feet of my house.
