Chloe's new boyfriend manages to lock onto a commercial satellite to trace Jack's whereabouts.

Isn't that Chloe's ex-husband in that pic?

I read that the husband of Patricia Heaton (from Everybody Loves Raymond) is the bad guy this year.

DVR recorders are coming down in price. I got a really decent one last year that has VCR and DVD RW + for about $275-$300.

Justified the price by transferring all our home movies from VHS to DVD. Also DVD'ed a ton of movies prior to vacationing out west for over 5000 miles. Used the kids PSII to watch the DVD's when they weren't playing games.

That's one purchase I'm extremely happy with.

I think this removing of fingertips/fingers with cutting pliers may be one of the terrorists torture tactics.

Yes each season stands alone, but ultimately they are connected in some way that we have yet to find out.

I got my DVD recorded with a VHS recorder as well at Costco for , I think it was $175. I think it's a LiteOn. You can transfer all your tapes to DVD format with it.

I wouldn't recommend it either.

You really have to watch Season 1 first to understand the relationships between Jack and Kim, Jack and Nina, Jack and David Palmer, etc.

IMO, Season 2 is the best, followed by Season 4. But if you skip Season 3, it'll leave gaps in your understanding of Season 4.

In short, you could skip around if you want, but you'll miss some background on the relationships between characters.

I have quite a few boxes of slides that nobody watches. I'd like to transfer them to DVD's. Hve you tried that?

Last year I started out by watching Season 5. Then I bought Season 1 and watched the whole thing. Throughout the year, I'd watch other seasons on A&E. Not knowing the whole background didn't interfere with my enjoyment of Season 5. It was still exciting.

Or download it to your iPod. Stay in your tent and watch 24.

24 has never happened in real time. The show has always taken place "in the future". The timespan between every season has always been about 18 months to 3 years.
