Oh - poor dear... If you have salt, pour some salt on the steps, might be easier than trying to chip the ice off if it's worn in.

I looked yesterday for some rock salt or ice melt at the store, but of course I'm a little late...they were sold out.

Would table salt work?

Speaking of salt, Harley is drinking very very well, which is a pleasant surprise. In the Nov. cold spell I was worrying because he didn't seem to be drinking well, I started adding salt to his feed, and it seems to have done the trick this time.
