Thanks for the WA geography lesson! I am going with a friend so probably won’t be able to come up to see you. We are sharing the car. If it was just me, I’d take off and come see you anyway!

I didn’t realize it got that warm up there. August is triple digit territory in Texas so that won’t be anything unusual for me. I was hoping for something a bit cooler than that though. :0

We are flying into Portland on Aug 12 and back to Texas on Aug 19. School starts up again the last week of August so I have to be home for that.

What a fabulous farm and trainer to visit. Good for you!

Eastern Washington is very different than the west. And hotter. You'll see that change before your very eyes as you drive East from Portland. Depending on what part of Texas you're in, the area you're going to may look very much like home.

The drive through the Columbia Gorge is a really pretty one. If you can take the time on your way to stop at some of the scenic viewpoints, do. Multnomah Falls & Historic Columbia River Highway
