The plants with the red leaves are Caladiums. The white striped ones are too, just a different variety. I’ve never seen them sold as house plants before, but have often thought they’d be pretty in the house. They like the shade, but they do look better if they get a fair amount of early morning or late afternoon sun. Otherwise the color is not as good. They’re more green, I guess to generate more energy with the low light that they have. They aren’t winter hardy when planted in the ground here, so I keep them in pots and put them in the in-law’s basement in late Fall when they start to play out and get them back out sometime in late March when they start to sprout again.
Very pretty. I love it. Gardening to make a nice peaceful sitting area is fun:) I really like the ferns? Do you have to bring them in in the winter?
