Congratulations, again, to Alison :~)
We’re sipping coffee, hoping for a trail ride this afternoon! ~crosses fingers~
I am going to the tack shop where my daughter works and pick up some things for trail riding/camping. My list is ready. A lot of stuff I still have, but is old and worn.
Have fun on the trail ride. It is going to be close to 90 today!
We had a good ride on Saturday. We went to the place that has the real deep cliff overhang and a creek right at the base of it where you ride down the creek. I didn't get a picture of it this time, but here's one I took back in the fall, just to remind you of what it looks like...
Actually there are little creeks all over this place. It seems like every little hollow has a creek running at the bottom of it. And I found that really amazing considering that we're in the midst of a 50 year drought and are 20 inches below normal on our rainfall. One of the creek crossings had a beaver dam just below it and it had backed the water up about chest high on the horses. The camp owners said they were going to dear it down but that all the guests said they liked swimming in it so they left it alone. I should've got a picture of it but I didn't. I'm falling down on my job!
They had cut some new trails and one of them goes right by this cool little cave. It kinda reminded me of a hobbit hole so I thought you would probably like it...
Here's a picture of Shirley in the same cave. He looks like OldHermitGuy sitting at his cave entrance...
This is my other friend Kari and her champaigne walking horse, Faith...
This is Shirley and Buck walking down one of the creek beds that's part of the trail...
There weren't very many riders out there this weekend. I guess everybody stayed home because of Father's Day.
