Sorry for the delay...dang work. Judged pleasure trail rides are trail rides on well marked paths, terrain that have obstacle stations with judges. The only one I went on had 10 stations and they are usually not “hard core” trail obstacles but fun and reasonably simple things.

For instance it was Fall so was a Halloween theme. Had to take the witches cape from one stick figure witch and put it on another. Had to walk over some cavaletti with “ghosts” that were white kitchen garbage bags in the tree branches overhead.

Horse is judged on manners and rider is judged on horsemanship skills. It’s just a really nice way to spend a day with some friends and horses. Most of em were laughing a lot but I did more grimacing. A friend had lent me one of her horses to ride proudly telling me he had placed 2nd in the arabian division the prior year. What she failed to tell me was that the 26 year old coot hadn’t been ridden in the year since. Needless to say he wasn’t 2nd when I rode him!

That sounds exactly like the CTR’s I go on. I was only asking because I was wondering if you knew you cannot put your horse in the trailer. They have to be tied to the trailer, or I believe you are disqualified. All horses are required to be stabled the same.
