I understand that. I was just stressing that horses at both ends of the country need shelter from bad weather. Yeah, I know they "are horses" and "have survived" in it for centuries but for how long? At what cost? Besides that, they were in a natural environment. Sorry. I'm just venting.

I understand your frustration. I'd be frustrated and concerned too if there was bad weather coming, no shelter, and not a lot I can do about it. Didn't you get them some good outdoor blankets? Really, if they're in waterproof blankets, they'd be OK out with 30s and wet.

Hi Cindy,

You might want to consider getting a couple of light weight Weatherbeeta blankets for just such occasions. Country Supply has them on sale right now for about $50. That might be your cheapest option for peace of mind.
