This is Miss Ellie, the soon-to-be 2yr old. She's the whitest of the bunch right now, but also the most moth-eaten looking. She was much darker this winter, but all the dark shed out first and left the white, and it's coming out by the handfulls now and is an incredible mess when it gets on your clothes. She was playing with a leak in the hose when I took this one...
This is Hope. She's shedded out much slicker on her shoulders and around the hip but still has big patches of white left on her. She took the hose leak away from Ellie...
And Bob just had to get in on the hose action. You just can NOT operate a water hose around these three without them demanding to be sprayed. They'll get right in your face. I've never seen anything like it!...
Only thing I’ve seen like it is Becky’s Rusty. Mine wouldn’t do that, they’d bug out if a hose sprayed them and I didn’t have a hold of them.
It is interesting how much yours change. Pony gets blacker right as she’s shedding. Her shoulders and neck are nearly black right now, and lots of dapples on her side, but when she’s done she’ll be back to red.
Wow, your horses are beautiful:) Rusty never whitened up like that..he’d get lighter but not that much. I really have grown to like roans a lot.
Becky
It's considered very chic to rig the reins so that the outside horses' heads flare to the outside.
