I don’t know if the woman would be better or not... Her name just came up twice, and I’ve never had a lady farrier.
What’s he got against barrel racers? Are they hard customers, or does he just not like the sport?
LOL...they’re hard customers:)
He said they are too prone to try fads, to change what they want to often, to even change farriers for no reason just because someone who is winning commented on their farrier being good. I can see his point, and agree with what he said.
Kristy thinks she’s going to have to find a new farrier in the near future, her’s is talking about quitting. She wants me to tell my farrier Rowdy is just a new horse I got:)...I’ll probably have to do the same with Dot when Jenny starts riding again:) I won’t feel bad about that, one I consider all those horses mine in one sense...and two, my girls are not like the typical barrel racers in this area, they have some sense. Both the girls and Charlie have been as impressed as I have been over the huge improvement in Harley. I don’t think I’ve commented lately, but his feet, particularly his frog is looking so much more healthy...I didn’t expect shoeing to make that much change in that area, especially so fast. His whole foot just looks better, even in this the sixth week. My farrier comes this Fri. I’m thinking of having a surprise party for my new hero to show my appreciation:)

There is something about "Under the spreading Chestnut Tree" that just doesn't fit a woman....and I have this thing about women doing men's jobs. I did use one lady a few times. The shoes never stayed on past a week.
The Country Supply catalog came and I thought there's Bay on the cover! A perfect shot over the ears going down the trail. Then I saw the blue headstall. :)
