She got away with a little today which was my fault because I was embarrassed
Never be embarassed because your horse is being a brat or because you're having trouble. Forget what anyone else thinks at the barn, really it's none of their business, and you should tell them to go fly a kite. :-) I agree with everyone else that your trainer isn't doing her job at all, and was totally wrong to have you lunge sara lee instead of getting on and making her do what she's supposed to. I wish that we could all go down there and see what's happening for ourselves and help you out! I also agree that it would be a good idea for you to get on a nice reliable trail horse while your trainer goes out with you on Sara Lee. I know that my trainer would do it, if I was in your situation, and I don't think that it's beyond your trainer's "call of duty" to do the same. If she has a problem with it, tell her that you'll pay her like you would for a lesson or training time. (You should offer that up first anyway)
Hang in there! :-)

It's hard to explain on-line but she really is helping me. There are reasons why she can't but is delegating. The one problem I have is that she worries. More than me and that's not good. I also don't do good when I'm rushed and I was rushing things. 9am is not a good time for me. That still isn't letting Miz Sarah Lee off the hook.
