I was really addicted to chocolate and candy. I found that eating fruit helped, especially dried fruit. Now I have candy every once in awhile but chocolate rarely.

We also get low carb bread because Bob loves his bread. That helps too. And once a week generally we have a pizza or spagetti or something like that.

Sounds healthy. I've been buying those Walmart individual trail mixes. They have a lot of calories but I figure since they have nuts and dried fruit they are healthier than a candy bar. They also have little choc chips in them:')

I found a type of whole wheat pasta that was lower in carbs. One serving is 2 oz, and I split one serving between Mack and I several times a week. And it is really quite a bit. We always have some type of carb with each meal. We have breakfast burritos for breakfast on low carb tortillas.

Almonds are a really good snack, crunchy/salty/sweet, I eat the honey roasted ones, they have no more carbs/cal then the natural ones. And for a sweet snack you can buy different varieties of a snack bar made by Kraft under the name of South Beach. They have 100 calories, and 15 carbs, and they have a variety that is Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter...uuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmm...:) Knowing I'm going to get that each evening is a good motivator also:) I love my chocolate too:)

LOL...and Cindy you know NOT eating is not good. Doing that really really slows you metabolism, and is very counter productive. For someone who works Kraft, again under the name of South Beach makes a very good boxed lunch kit. 5 varieties. I get them at Wal mart where they sell the lunch meat. Inside are sandwich wraps. You get 2 wraps, and a serving of sugar free Jello. They are between 230-300 calories each. They are very good, and very satisfying. You might look at trying them. I don't eat them everyday, just when I'm in town at lunch time. We keep them down there in the fridge. Mack eats them often. Everything is premeasured, makes it easy.

I pretty much eat 5 times a day, 3 meals, and 2 snacks.

Becky
