At 7 a.m. here everything was coated in ice but it looks like it may melt later today.
To get hay to my horses this morning I bundled it up in a tarp and slid it down the steep driveway to the corral and then sat down and slid down myself.
But I see blue skies!
I hope there was someone there with a camera!
Smart thinking! That just goes to show you that there's more than one way to skin a cat. I just hope you don't hit any rocks. That could hurt!
That definately shows determination. Would have loved to see a picture of you and the hay sliding down the driveway. Hope your ice melts today.
To all:
yes, I wish there had been somebody there with a camera, darn it.
Looks like the ice is going to melt, we are going to be up to 45 today, they say. It has been a really hard 3 days. Especially since I couldn't use my truck, since if I got it down the hill to carry hay/grain to the horses, I would never have got it back up.
I led them through the storm back up here to the corral in front of the house. That was a bear.
I used up all my film taking pictures of the storm and now when the sun is breaking through, making all the ice glitter so beautifully, I am out of film!
Will try to get into town later today, I have to, I am out of hay now.
