You guys are going to shame me into walking aren’t you. :) When I retire I’ll start walking again.

We’re not having a problem with rain but our hay is going to be short and expensive this year also. Lots of it going out of state. We just contracted for 54 tons, hopefully to be delivered in the next couple of days. That will get us through until next year.

According to meterologists be are about to have some changes. The low currents are being replaced with a high. That might mean storms for us. Not sure how it might affect yall.

Checking in... we didn’t end up going to the volcano today... it hadn’t cleared by 11, so we decided we’ll try it again tomorrow. We did go for a walk around the falls park.
To: CindyDawg
I just checked - our forecast is very boring - highs 99+, lows mid 60’s, winds 5-10 miles per hour. It’s the same each day for the 5day forecast.

:) I’ve decided that once the temperature climbs past 99, it doesn’t matter what it says - it’s HOT.

Good morning.
Sounds like your visit is going well. Hope the volcano shows itself today.
I’m hoping to ride a bit today. It’s not raining, but I’m sure the mud is going to be horrible.

Good Morning.
Beautiful day and I am heading to the fairgrounds again. Pleasure show is today, so I will take some pictures.
Hope you can get a good ride in, Becky.
Everyone have a great weekend!

Hello everyone.
I've been really busy, so I haven't had time to post, but I've been lurking. Hair, good luck entertaining, Becky, I'm glad that you got through your dental experience ok. I was thinking of you.
Lets see, horsie news.... I rode Levi (again) today. It was a good ride, not one of my best, but good. Trainer wants me to take him to a schooling show in October, just Intro Level, but I'm O.K. with that because it has been many years since I've shown. The odd thing, though, is that she wanted me to take one of the other horses last week, but this week she wants me to take him. My concern about it is just a size ratio. Suitability is big in the Hunter/Jumper world, but I don't know how much of an issue it is in the dressage world, especially since warmbloods are "the thing" to ride. Though my first dressage trainer took a USDF bronze on a welsh cob. And at the lower levels, what horse you ride shouldn't be an issue, but it is. And it's just a schooling show. I just hope that I don't get laughed out of the ring!
I've also been looking at dressage saddles, and there's a Keiffer for sale cheap because it doesn't the person's horse (and it's dark brown)I think I'm going to go take a look and snag it.

Scenes from the fair. Alison and Ivy in Leadline. There were about 20 kids in the class and they all got first place.

Amy in Generation Gap Horsmanship riding PC. The adults ride one way around the ring and then the kids ride the other way. Her and Dakota rode together. They won Second.

My SIL, Ben riding Vegas, Ivy's horse. They won a sixth.

Amy and Dakota cutting up with the Judge.

Hard to tell what Ben was thinking...lol It was real windy today and someone's hat blew off right in front of Vegas and he jumped it while Ben was riding. The whole crowd got a laugh out of that.

Alison in Stick Horse costume class. Those kids were so cute! Everyone won first again.

Hope you took the camera today :) I just looked at the mountain, it looks like you had a beautiful day for it.

Glad you popped in and that all is well with you - and, that you are getting to ride. Good luck on the saddle.
Your trainer must think you and Levi are a good match.

We did have a good day, and we did take pictures... but I haven’t uploaded them yet. :~)
The mountain has changed even since last year. It’s neat to see it every year.
To: HairOfTheDog
Hope you are all having a good time and good weather for the visit. Looking forward to the pictures when you get a chance :)

I seem to remember you saying you have orange trees. I have some questions about them. I would really like to get an orange tree and a lemon tree but I don’t know how they would do as house plants here.

The kids ride one way and the adults ride the other? At the same time, or in groups?
