Boooooo, clouds, they don’t even look good in a picture:)

We’ve actually had sun most of the day today. I’ve been out mowing, weedeating, weeding, cleaning the patio...As soon as the pasture is in the shade I’m going to go mow a bit out there.

Rocky was feeling good. When I got done taking pictures I went and put him in his own run. He worries me running like that out there, the fence is fake hot wire. Anyway, when I was leading him out he was all bowed up and prancing...I had to back him up a bit. He’s just not getting handled enough:), and he’s getting ornery in his old age:)

I’d be nervous with just one wire holding in a fired up horse, even if it was hot ;~).

How’s his leg?

Well, there are two wires out there:) But they are pretty fragile being a bit old. Before I started putting him out there I flagged the whole thing with new flags, so it’s pretty visible.

I keep forgetting to get pictures of his leg. It’s looking better, I’m still doctoring it with the Wonder Dust and Cut heal. Lower leg cuts just take forever to heal.

Those are some great pics, Becky. I especially like the one of him rearing up between the trees.

I'm wiped out. I rode Levi yesterday and I've found that if I ride him, the next day I'm sore as anything, so I can't ride him two days in a row. Maybe I'm just not made of stronger stuff, but I think it's because he's so wide... or something. Plus, yesterday we did a lot of sitting trot and bending so that he was in the typical dressage frame. But when you're doing that in a sitting trot, and you've got all of that front end in your hands, and he just doesn't want to give to you, it really, really does a number on your abs. I'm so sore today that I couldn't even think of getting on him this morning, so I got on Oliver instead and just walked around the property and out in the woods. But when all is said and done, I'm going to have abs o' steel! ;-)

I know what you mean...when I got the new saddle for Harley, it took me about a month to adjust to the wider seat...it does make you sore. But you’ll get use to it after a while if you keep riding him. Every other day is a good.

oh no... I don’t want to deal with that this soon :~\

We’ve heard a few very distant things... not much yet. I guess the stands might be showing up around town (and on the reservations) pretty soon though.

I just had a reminder of my trip to Wa. last year.

Have you watched that new show, “Ice Road Trucker”... all the people on it have the accent from that movie, “Fargo”. Every time someone talks I feel like I’m sitting in the chair at your house.

So far it was just fire crackers.

Good Morning.

My neighbor told me yesterday, that the man who was working on their pool, saw us riding and wondered if we wanted a free Belgian! Gee, just what I need.

The Farrier is coming this morning. Alison won Hi-Point yesterday again. I didn't go, as I was mowing behind the pasture and the trails.

Wow:), are you going to take him?

I don’t think I’d ever turn down a free horse.

I told my neighbor to have the guy call me or come over. I will need more details other than "it drives" Hey, there is my logging horse..lol

I still am amazed at how clear and beautiful your pictures are with that new camera.

They came out better then I thought they were as fast as he was moving around. I wish I would have thought to change the setting to “Action” pictures, but I didn’t know how long he would continue and wanted to get something, so I just turned it on and started snapping:), It was set on Auto.

I’ve saddled my horse, and watching to see what he will do, so far nothing, he’s out there with his head hanging in the halter like he’s asleep:)....yeah!!! I’ve been worrying that what ever was the problem a while back was something that was going to continue guess not:) It’s been since last Tues. that I rode.

But while I’m waiting, giving him some time, I have to tell you something funny. I had some really pretty ornamental ribbon grass planted out front, not in the garden. It had gotten really big, and looked really well out there. It’s white with a pretty green stripe, and it’s really wavey. Anyway, I noticed Sat, it was all chomped off, and ragged looking. I couldn’t figure out what happened. I’ve seen grasshoppers destroy plants over night, but I haven’t noticed all that many grasshoppers this year. Last night tho, while I had Harley out there grazing,,, guess what:). He’s the culprit. I never even thought about him having ate but he did, almost to the ground. Looking back tho, I should have known, after all it is grass:)
