The FreeRepublic Saddle Club thread! - Thread 11

Posted on 01/02/2007 9:57:39 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - (very out of date) Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Well, I’m a bit excited.

I just found out that Kristy and JP went out of town, so I won’t have him tomorrow, (I’ll miss my day with him but...) that means, I’ll have all day to play with my horse:). The weather is suppose to be great, no rain.

I can work on the lunge line, then go for a ride, come back and do some mowing, then Celia is coming in the late afternoon, so I can ride again with her then:)

They’ve put rain back in the forecast for Sat and Sun and I was a bit bummed thinking it would be Mon before I get a chance to ride again.

What time are you hauling the alpaca? Will you stay at the fair to watch?

Becky

Well, good. Glad you’ll get a chance to ride. I hope the forecast is correct and it’s a nice day.

We’re heading down there around 3 to load up the alpaca. I think this is just a drop off, I don’t think they’re doing any showing tomorrow. They’ll do that Sat and Sunday. Sunday, we’ll probably go down there early and watch a bit, I know there’s a showmanship class, a costume class, and the obstacle class, I don’t know yet what happens when. We’ll find out :~)

I’m confused. First we have Neo Equus ranch website
http://www.neoequus.net/

Then we have Just Walkin Farms, Formerly Neo Equus Ranch. I thought Neo Equus was new.

Well everyone, I need to win the lottery here real soon :)

Just talked to Tuffy's trainer, she thinks he can make the Nationals the first week of July in Oklahoma. She'll make the decision for sure the 1st of June. Fortunately I have already requested the last week of June and the first week of July for vacation although I didn't expect to spend it in Oklahoma :)

So I guess, everyone - I could use some good vibes this way :)

It’s a puzzle but I have been sorta thinking we have our own soap opera there. Definately interesting and entertaining.

Walkin Fool is in Texas but I’m not sure where. Maybe down near Houston.

He lives up in the Bryan/College Station area. It's about 80 miles north and slightly west of Houston...
