Ok:) I love you too. I’m sorry. I was going by what the lady at the CTR’s told me, that her’s was the old style app. As I said, your’s look nothing like her’s, and I could understand why breeders would try to change some things.
Now I have the rest of the story:)

It is going to be a gorgeous day! After the thunderstorms and tornadoes warnings last night, everything is greened up so beautifully. Thunderstorms put nitrogen in the air. No reason to be crabby today!....
I have been wondering, how the Western Pleasure was coming along.
LOL...I don’t know about that, it is rainy, drizzily, and dreary here:) Has been for 2 days now.

Good Morning! Have been wanting to post but am only online at work and things have been crazy lately. I’ll start to post something and get interrupted and just end up closing the window an hour later.
Deuce is doing very well. Thanks for asking. First show will be in June. Once we get outside to work at the trainers I’m hoping to get some pics. His whole personality has changed since the surgery and it’s much better. I suspect he was panicking more than anyone knew.
I’m feeling very poor after all this but very blessed! He’ll end up in training for 8 months this year, which is a bank breaker, but he’ll be a finished western pleasure horse when we’re done. And he’s turning into the horse I always dreamed of having.
Thanks! I've wondered about using bleach, but I was always afraid that it would damage the hair. I've had people tell me that they use bleach to disolve hair in their drains so I guess you've got to be really careful with it like you said. How dilute are we talking about here, like a teaspoon of bleach in a gallon of water or a quarter cup in a gallon or what?
I would say when I bleached Harley’s tail, and I do it just every once in awhile, twice a year...I used like a cup in a 5 gallon bucket. I would just put his tail in the bucket, (with the hose running right next to me, you don’t want to let them swing their tail and hit any other part of their body), and soak for a few minutes, then immediately start rinsing, rinsing, rinsing, then really really gob a lot of conditioner, on it and let that stay in while I wash the rest of his body. Then I rinse the conditioner out, and put on some of that stay in conditioner, I think it’s called Fusion.
Now another alternative is there is a product out, and it was demonstrated at the Martha Josey clinic I went to, and the CA clinic, called E-Z All...my DIL, uses it too and really likes it. I can get it here at my feed store, or you can get it on line.
It’s just a spray on wash, that you let it set a few minutes, then rinse, no scrubbing. The horse they used at MJ was a paint with a lot of white, and he did have some grass stains, and they came off with just a few minutes soak with this stuff. It comes with the solution and a special sprayer. 1 gallon of this stuff is suppose to do 50 horses. I want to try it now, that I have a light colored horse...just haven’t got around to it. Just another thing to spend money on:) I’ve been kind of waiting to hear others opinions about it that are not making money off it:) But from the demonstration, it looked like it worked pretty good.

I’ve thought about using the black hair color on their manes and tails, but I was always afraid of getting it on the white and really making a mess. But like somebody said, I could probably put it in a spray bottle and just get the top layer, which is all that’s really sun-bleached anyways. I’d just have to be sure to use some plastic sheeting or something to keep it off of the rest of them.
My motorcycle's name is Grace.. does that count? lol.
Seriously, my husband and I named our bikes Grace and Mercy.
Great that he is doing so well. I really hope he does well for you, after all the effort you put into him. Arabians look so beautiful under Western saddle.
It is an aerosol spray that comes in black and other colors. I will see if I can find out what it is called. I have stopped at the tack store a couple of times to pick it up for them. It is about $10 for a can.
Here it is: http://www.shapleys.com/shapleys.pdf (copy and paste to your browser)It is on the first page and is called Show Touch Up.
I didn't get to ride this past weekend, but I had some pictures from the ride before that that I thought I'd share. I rode with a fairly large group of Cowboys for Christ and we had a really good time. There was a gaited group of about 10 or 11 and a non-gaited group that was slightly larger. We all met up at the break area for lunch and had some nice fellowship. It was such a nice weekend that the horse camp was practically full and it was pretty hard to even find a place to park, so it looks like there were a lot more in our group than there actually were...
That's my buddy Shirley on the black Walking Horse pointing at something. The little chocolate colored horse is a Rocky Mountain Horse. The other two are Spotted Saddle Horses.
This picture was taken at the break area and I think I counted about 23 horses just in this picture. (Of course I had the original to look at so it was a lot easier!) I think there were about 50 actually there. I love to just wander around and check out everybody else's horse and tack and find out where they're from and all that. It's pretty fun.
Goodness....there was a lot of riders:)
The trees are so pretty in that last picture, they look all lacy:)
Do I remember right, that your friend had some health issues that kept him from riding...if so, it’s nice he’s back too it:)
Becky
Yeah, Shirley had some problems with dizziness and I think they turned out to be inner-ear related but he went to the doctor for it and he seems to be fine now. He’s a really sweet guy. His wife kinda raggs him about riding with me sometimes, but we’ve ridden together for nearly 20 years so I think she’s figured out that I’m pretty harmless by now. ;o)
I’ve got some Quic Silver. It does work pretty good, but it still wasn’t getting the stains out of her tail. Maybe once I get it bleached out I can do a better job of keeping it that way with the Quic Silver. Somebody else suggested Cowboy Magic, so I may try some of that too.
Bob said on the phone last night that he's doing well and settling in. His pony is pushing him around... also that he read Barney's papers... he's mostly thoroughbred ;~)
So there is a Knapstrup connection! I thought there might be.
