Which one of your DIL’s is expecting? Congratulations, I didn’t know:) How many grandbabies does that make for you?
Becky

Is that Sarah’s dad?
7 wow, you have a house full. Makes me feel like an amateur:)
Becky
To: CindyDawg
That would make me crazy too...that’s why I don’t really let anyone do anything in my kitchen. I’d just rather do it all and keep things the way I want them:)
Becky

Well I usually only have 2 at a time. Yeah, this is Sarah’s dad. They are moving out Friday.

Hi everyone!
Sooo.... I found another horse, and I think he's a keeper. I really fell in love with him. :-) I'm sorry that there aren't any pictures, I didn't know that I was going to go look at him until today when I showed up at the barn and my trainer said "I have a horse to look at at 12. I think that you should come" so I was totally unprepared.
He's a 15.3 chestnut TB/Conammera cross really, really cute. He's 20, which for me isn't too old, and he's an ex eventer and dressage horse, up to 2nd level, and he really knows his stuff! A little pigeon toed in front, barefoot, but the owner said that she used to keep eggbars on in the front because he has arthritis. Never heard of shoeing a horse with eggbars for arthritis, but I don't know everything. Has anyone ever done this? However, he's quite sound going barefoot.
He's very quiet and very sane. He reacted well to everyone around him. He'd been off all winter, and this was the first time that he'd been ridden since then, and the owner lunged him first she said "to take the buck out of him" but he walk trot cantered no problem, didn't even bat an eye. I think the purpose of lunging him was for the owner's peace of mind than the horse actually needing it. (He didn't.) He reacted very well to three different people riding him, didn't phase him one bit. To ride him is to love him though, he rides like a dream, and is quite the powerhouse. BIG strides. It was great. I was grinning ear to ear when I rode him. :-)

Hey, that is great:) Good for you. So did you get him or still thinking about it?
Becky
To: CindyDawg
I didn’t know they were living with you. Doesn’t this make 3 for them? Do they know if it’s a boy or girl yet?
Both my kids have decided they are done having kids...sometimes I’m glad about that, sometimes not, grandbabies are sure a lot of fun.

Still thinking. Couldn’t seem too eager, but gosh was he a lot of fun! The woman is offering him as a six month free lease with option to buy, for disgustingly cheap money, far less than what the horse is worth. She’s going through a nasty divorce, and can’t afford to keep two horses. She has another young full connemara on the premises, and she had to choose between the two. The barn is so close to mine that I could ride him home! :-)

Now that I’m done having babies it’s easy for me to say that....I don’t believe in BC any more:’) This will be their last. Another girl.

He’s coming home on Monday for a three month lease. The thread will be flooded with pictures. Pictures of him, eating, sleeping, you name it. Excuse me while I go do a happy dance.

That’s great news. It goes without saying next time you go to visit him you take your camera. Hope this works out well :)
