No 2J didn’t get a hair cut today.

I took her in and showed her all the medical equipment in the Doc’s office. Dang, she found more stuff in there then I knew about:) or at least told me what some of the stuff was...there was stuff to put a cast on a broken bone. I may have her come put a cast on my arm if it doesn’t stop giving me problems:)

Bay lunging pics - Here he's still waking up from dozing in the barn.

Now he's awake and being a snot... those are supposed to be trotting poles...

I caught some really funky jumping form on him today... My timing was off... This one shows well though, what I think is the benefit of this kind of work for him... look how much the muscles in his abdomen are working even getting himself set up for the jump. It's terrific work for the back and hindquarters.

Bay... we really recommend jumping with our eyes ~open~

This was pretty representative of his form today... I think it really messed him up that the jump was so low... and that it was wide. He just looked at it funny, and they never have really good form unless the jump is high enough to require it.

Just a funny looking moment.

Again, eyes open would be better ;~)\

Now... after working the jumps for 20 minutes or so... look at how tucked up his tummy is... and how high he's carrying his back, compared to the first pics.

Really encouraged by how good he's feeling... :~)

That’s basically what I said!

Had a rib support belt too, for broken ribs and a sling for broken arms.

I know where to go in case of a situation like that Jericho TV show! LOL!

Great pics Hair! The ol’ Bayman is looking pretty spry. Looks like he should have no problem with his first trailride of the season. I’m really looking forward to you going and all the good pics I know you’ll take.

I’m off work tomorrow for the Good Friday holiday so I’m going riding too. It’ll be another fairly large group and we’re going on some trails out in the Forest that I’ve never been on, so I’m really looking forward to it. Supposedly one of the places is the site of an old water-powered grist mill. Of course the mill is long gone, but they said that you could still see the stone foundation and grinding stone. That’ll be cool. And the weather’s supposed to be cool too, literally. Supposed to be 30* tomorrow morning. I’ll have to break out the sweats and jackets again. I thought I was done with them for the year after all this warm weather we’ve been having.

Those are cute pics of 2J’s boys too. Looks like Jenny’s got a nice shop.

The grinding stone will be cool to see. Sounds like a really fun ride.

I’m thinking of going on a trail ride that is being held April 14 on the land that butts against the land I already ride on. I’ve been on this ride before and it is very nice and well organized. The owner of the 7500 acres it is held on hosts it. He and his wife are trying to build a small, hobby type business having these rides several times a year, and will host private parties too.

I don’t particularly like this guy:). He seems to me to be rather arrogant, and looks down his nose at us lowly 5 acre owners. I’ve spoke with him several times, and just got bad vibes. But anyway, the ride itself is great, very nice trails, very nice scenic views, and the owner tells some interesting history stories of the land, he’s polite enough, at the rides, it’s other times you get the snobby feeling from him. I have an ulterior motive for going. I’d like to talk to him about hosting a ride when you all are here. It would be the one longer ride we could take, and we wouldn’t have to trailer at all, or if we did trailer (riding to the base camp takes about an hour, so that adds 2 hours to the ride that is about 5 hours), it wouldn’t be that far, 10-15 minute trip.

Anyway the rest of the time you all are here, the trails I ride will be fine, we can go out several times for a couple of hours each.

Yeah, Jenny’s shop is doing great, and does have a different type ambience:) Lots of men have commented on how they really feel comfortable there more so then a conventional beauty shop.

Jenny was always a tom boy and had a huge collection of Hot Wheel cars that she played with more then dolls. She has them around her shop now. She is getting some of the people who own old muscle cars to come and pose with their car in front of her shop, gets them to autograph it and then puts it on her walls...nice little PR trick:). Who can resist taking their business to a place that put their picture on the wall:)

I know several others said they might come. I can’t remember all the names, but everyone is welcome.

I know we are still aways from Oct. but I’ve been thinking a lot about everyone coming, and making some tentative plans. I was telling 2J about it yesterday, so the anticipation is starting to build:) I want to keep it in you all’s mind so you can plan on coming. For those who may not want to do any riding, you can still come and hang out, spouses are welcome.

I’m curious who all still thinks they might come?

Ok...I’ll be sure and bring my Beetle by for a photo-op, when it gets back together.

I *did* notice the Beetle Hot Wheel...

Hey, that sounds like a really good idea! I wouldn't mind paying him either. Heck, most of the places I ride require some kind of fee, even the National Forest. I say go for it. You'll enjoy the ride. There'll be enough people there that you won't have to rub elbows with TheSnobbyGuy at all if you don't want to.

Speaking of our trip out there, have we ever actually picked a date? I can't remember, and BladeRider was wanting to know not too long ago so she could schedule some vacation time for it where she works. I'll need to mark those days too at some point, but our vacations aren't really set in stone when we mark them. I couldn't really recall how long we were planning on doing this either, but I figured it would be a long weekend kinda thing. I don't want to overstay my welcome and all that. It'll take BladeRider and I about 13 hours to get there so we'll have to plan for a travel day on either end for that.

I’m sure I’ll come, and we’ll try to have ecurbh come too, if it’s workable with both work and farm sitting. :~)

That was why I was thinking maybe we should bring it up now, so those that need to plan vacation time from work will have plenty of time to do it.

No we never picked an exact date...any time works for me...so if anyone wants to throw a date out there, please, go for it. And it doesn’t have to be Oct...

I’m hoping I can work a deal with the snobby guy:), one of the reasons I don’t go to his rides, I think he’s regular price is a bit steep for what you get. It’s $35 which includes lunch and snacks. I was going to clear this with everyone before I scheduled it. I think $25 would be more in line, and I think he’d get more riders, but $35 dollars is a lot, IMO, especially for families.
