If I go by the spam email I receive, I must be on a list somewhere as a male with an IQ of 60. LOL

People are odd and that's more evident every day.

Yes, I was looking for something different and hit on doing each room a different color although the trim in the master bedroom, living room, dining room, laundry room, kitchen and my office is all the same - a brown, and that sort of ties it together.

Our lawnmower handle kept loosening and wobbling whenever we used it, as much as we have to lift it to get over rocks and such in the pasture, it wouldn't stay tight, so we beefed it up with a tougher off-road lawn handle. :~)

Gonna go mow scotch broom now, try it out :~)

Don't get greedy though. 10% down shouldn't raise any flags:') Seriously, I would ignore though. There may be other traps like phone charges and stuff.

Is FR running slow for anyone else but me?

Very slow for me too and I have cable. Everything else seems to be running ok.

Our weird caller was a woman who was looking for her dog... I had described him as a black lab mix with a lot of white on him in the ad.

She said she was pretty sure it was her dog, but "ours doesn't have that much white on him, but my daughter dyes him all kinds of colors, so I don't know how much white he has on him right now." "HUH?"

I said he had a purple collar on... again with a bit about not being sure because of the daughter always changing them.

Finally, I asked what his name was, that I'd call the dog and see if he knew the name. Well... it was a racial epithet. I just rolled my eyes. No way did we even care if this was her dog. How exactly does one go about 'dying' more white onto a dog?

I'd already told her, at the start of the conversation, where we lived, and she said she was coming. We just put the purple collar on Gidget and kept Homer in the house... figured, if she comes to see if a 'black and white' dog is hers, if she identified Gidget we would just tell her to get lost.

She never did show up.

I just tried one of the bars . Not bad for 100 calories. I really liked the taste and that it was moist. Just one problem. It didn't stick with me. The craving is gone now but I wanted another.

Hi everyone,

Haven't been on in a while. We were down in Aiken SC closing on our lot and meeting with the builder. I am so excited, this is just going to be perfect for us. There are 30 miles of riding trails in the subdivision. The builder thinks he will be done by Oct. I have a job down there with Countrywide, so anyone, anywhere, who needs to refinance or buy a new home PLEASE CALL ME..They will lend in all 50 states. I'm kind of scared, not knowing anyone and trying to drum up business but it's the price I'll pay for getting out of Ohio winters.

Now I have a few questions.....if I get a pasture mate for Waylon should I get a "" been there done that"" kind of horse. Waylon likes to play and winds up intimidating all the other horses in the pasture at the barn. Last night he had three BIG bites out of his neck and face from the horses he "plays with" How stupid can he be not figuring out he is going to get hurt....so what kind of horse or companion should I get?

Secondly, I have him barefoot now and have for the last 4 months and he's doing fine, should I shoe him or see if he's allright without> the ground in Aiken is sandy.

ANd most importantly, I have only trailered him for 3 hrs at a time. Aiken is ten hours without pulling a trailer, how do I go about getting him ready for the ride? Do I stop every 3 hrs. Do I let him out at those rest stops and if I do , where do I let him out?

!!!!Sorry for all the questions, but I really don't know.

Congratulations on the new place! Sounds really really neat. :~)

Pasture mate wise... I'd get someone you want to own. Most horses will sort out a pecking order, even if it means there will always be some marks from horse play.

Trailering wise, I'd find a spot halfway where you can spend the night. There are online directories of horse hotel and travel rest areas. That sounds like a long day of driving without the additional worry of the horse behind you, and a really tiring ride for the horse.

If you do it all in one trip, I'd consider and seek out places to stop every 4-5 hours, places that are open and quiet enough that you can let him out, and feed him or let him eat something off the ground. This will enable him to blow and clear his lungs. They have to get their head down to do that and they can't always do that in a trailer.

Barefoot wise... I'd see how he does, shoe him when it's clear he needs it.

Did I weigh in on all the topics? :~)

I picked up that advisory at a clinic I went to once where the veterinarian for the US Olympic team was speaking on a variety of issues. One of the things he said they learned traveling all the time is that if a horse stands tied and can't get his head down, they can develop pneumonia. You hear them put their head down and blow all the time, but may not realize the significance.

If the craving is gone, why do you want another?

LOL...I don't think I said these bars made it easy...just helped calm the sweet tooth.
