This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

That sounds like it would be really interesting - if you do any walls in stripes like that I'd love to see pictures.
Some of the folk in the HH got the same thing.

Thanks. I have still not got around to painting ceilings - they are so high in places :) Eventually I guess.
Thank you :) After 30 years of having white walls and being concerned about resell value, I decided I wanted color. I would bring color chips to work and show a friend that is an artist. If she said no, that was what I used.

Jeez Louise! Do these people think we're just plain STUPID or what? "Just send me all your personal identification numbers and I'll send you a million dollars"...Right after I run up thousands of dollars on your credit cards and drain your bank account. Makes you wish you could just shoot them through the monitor.

Well, I am dated too, as I have it in 4 rooms. :) Forget it, if you don't have anything, but stainless appliances also. Heck, I still have awnings on my house. At least I can leave the windows open in the summer, without worrying about rain.

No, I didn't give her directions, she was just too weird. She said she was getting one Friday, but wanted one today! I took her phone number to appease her and told her I would call, if no one claimed the cat.
Do you know about the weird woman who called on the found ad we ran for Homer? Maybe there's a niche kind of weirdos who are drawn to lost and found ads :~)

Wow, I agree with Becky. That IS really weird. Wonder if she's a hoarder.
Is FR running slow for anyone else but me? I noticed it yesterday but thought it was just me being on dial up and all the pictures. But today I'm at Jenny's and she has DSL and it is still real slow, but the horse forum runs fine.
