This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
Enjoy. Wish I was. I'm glad I didn't go out today though. I'm dieting the hard way again.
It was wonderful, Harley was great...no problems:) I'm grinning from ear to ear:)
He even broke sweat a bit. It's rather humid today.
Looking forward to Mon. now:)
Becky
Oh, sorry no pictures. It would just be the same ole same ole....I'm afraid people are probably tired of my pictures.
Becky
Very sorry you are ill.
Becky
Glad the ride went so well! No, we aren't tired of pictures! Even if there's nothing new, they break up the black and white of the page and give us something to look at :~)
Well, I will take pictures Mon. Promise:)
Becky
You know when we go out the first time, we'll be taking pictures!
Thanks. Me too:'(
Yeah, but you can take pictures of each other, get the whole horse and rider. I just get the back of Harley's ears, and right now it would be ugly dead leaves/trees ahead. Not very picturesque.
Becky
Yes. Pics :')
It's a beautiful day here today, in the 60's with sunshine. Anyway, I got bored with the computer and the legal trust program (and frustrated - how come it won't do what I want it to?) and went for a walk outside and took some pictures. And someone here mentioned pictures :)
Bob and Blue
Blue practicing "Stay" - he's right next to Bob, he can handle that :)
Momma Kitty, matriarch of the feral cats.
Little Sister, one of her daughters.
Sweetie, Bob's feral barn cat.
Tuffy - he grew into a horse.
Friday and Sam
Sam again.
Have you all met Thumper the llama and Phoenix the goat?
Terrific pic of all the critters! Dawg, kitties, llamas and all!
That Tuffy is really a pretty horse.
How's the wee baby doing?
Are you included in this flood watch?

Yeah - I'm in Thurston, but we're not directly in any river flood plains here. We're just wet. We may go check out the flooding tomorrow!
Be sure to take the camera.
How long have we been friends? :~)
LOL - I had a feeling that was unnecessary. Now you see why I haven't been posting on the other forum much. Having a problem controlling my typing fingers :)
When did Tuffy grow up? :')
Seems like overnight to me :) I need to get Bob to pull him out so I can get some good pictures of him.
Great pictures, you have quite a menagerie:)
