The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - (very out of date) Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

I didn't say anything to my husband. He went to sleep. He just raised up his head and said "Quiet Man" "It's called "Quiet Man" and fell back asleep. I guess he was working on it in his dreams:')

Well at least you're progressing. You might try giving him some kind of treat once you get done with it. Something he'll look forward to. I do that when I have to trim TheBear's toenails. He really doesn't like having it done but he'll tolerate it to get his treat, which happens to be that goop in the tube that you give them to keep them from getting hairballs. Sometimes he'll only let me do 2 or 3 toenails at a time before he has to get down, but he still gets a little bit of a treat and we try for the others a little bit later. That's what works for me anyways.

We are talking about taking them both back and getting one with a built in phone.

I got one of those combination scanner/printer/fax machines at WalMart there are instructions in my AM paperwork that tells you what to do when you have an AM and fax. Press 9 or something during the message.

I think I'm going to have to get another line. I can do that manually but when I'm not here, I need both to work. I have classes in the early morning and at night so I'm not here all the time.

Is yours a HP? That's what I bought. It can do all of that too.

I went and looked again. I can't find it on this AM. MY husband can make just about anything work. He orders or buys all this high tech stuff for me. I have a camera I can't get to download, a lap top that has so may whistles and bells that I couldn't find spread sheet and a digital fax that won't work with the plain and simple 15 dollar answering machine that I BOUGHT. He is so busy at his job that I hate to bother him so I'm trying to fix things myself. I just order a second ringer. I hope that works.I hate computers worse than yall hate cold weather:')

You might be able to find it online. I know what you mean, but it is the opposite with me. I work on a computer all day and when I get home hubby says he can't get our computer to do something. I just can't bring myself to look at the home computer when I get home.
