This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
Ok, here is a link that will take you to the album of the Doc's office. I can't figure out how to caption them so you know what you're looking at.
I particularly wanted you all to see the different floors in all the rooms:) They are so hideous it's funny:)
I guess if you want to know what anything is post that picture and I'll let you know, or give me the number of it.

Hey - you know, I like the paneling... in the front office... I don't even think it looks too dark or dated... That hallway is a little scary, that could use some white paint... but that (and carpet) might be all it takes to brighten it up... leave the wainscoting... maybe it'll work if the rest were bright.
The floors are so busy... what was it about the 70s that made people want complicated psychedelic floors? Don't answer that ;~)
Finally, if you don't find a home for that stirrup chair... I think it has funny potential in the "office" :~)
The paneling is nice, and I noticed in the pictures it doesn't look as dark as it does when you are there. I think it could be updated with some trim. We saw some that had some molding around the edges of each piece last week in the church where that wedding was. Looked really nice. I think that would be easier then painting all of it....Maybe with some better flooring the walls would lighten up, and with some trim....
Those floors are horrible aren't they:)
LOL...that stirrup chair would make a "nice" conversation piece:)

That is the machine that sucks out tonsils:)
The white cabinet looking thing before this is the ether machine he put you to sleep with before sucking them out. That's what looks to me to be museum pieces:)
Becky
Oh - well the ether machine has some potential :~)
Well anyway, it's interesting.
I didn't get pictures of the ex ray machine and dark room. The lights didn't work in there and it was too dark.
Becky
Yeah - offer them up on ebay and see what kind of offers you get. Somebody, somewhere collects nearly everything.
I posted a thread with Sonny - Secretary Gold. Back to chili and deviled eggs.
How's Friday?
That is just a suction machine.
Becky,
All that stuff looks clean but be careful. A lot of it deals with body fluids, esp that machine that spins lab tubes.
She's doing fine. I took a good look at her tonight and I still don't think she'll foal before the 21st but who knows :) I'm still going to get up to check on her anyway.
It would be cool if the foal is born on Friday:')
I hadn't thought about that. It would be wouldn't it? That's where she got her name - she was born on Friday.
Yeah, that's my favorite PonyJumping pic! I guess I just like the way the line of her neck just flows down into her back and on around the curve of her butt. Her mane is flying and she just looks....perfect.
Looks like a giant George Foreman Grill to me! Kinda serves the same purpose too. ;o)
Ok, thanks.
Mack talked to the nurse, and he's called the service company's on all this stuff to make sure about disposing of all this stuff properly. The ex-ray machine had some "head" on it that has to be handled special because of radiation.? The rest was disinfected properly, and can if we choose just be dumped if that's what it comes to.
Becky
Boy, that's some strange looking equipment! I agree with ya on the Dr. Frankenstein's lab assessment. Creepy!
